Water Project Engineer

Suyash Consulting, LLC (SUYASH) is actively seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to work in our Columbia, MD Office. The water resources project engineer will serve in a technical role under the direction of a project manager for a wide array of planning and design services.

Responsibilities:

Leads the planning and design efforts for a variety of water resources and site development projects.
Training and mentoring junior staff.
Coordination with clients and team members.
Preparation of technical reports and technical documentation of calculations performed.
Participation in proposal and business development efforts.
SWM design, erosion control, drainage, permitting, hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling, NPDES related services, and GIS/CADD skills. Other desired experience includes: watershed assessments, stream assessment/ restoration, water quality monitoring/ modeling.
Perform MDOT SHA PRD or MDE Project Reviews.
Construction cost estimating.

Requirements:

BSCE in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
5-10 years of experience.
MDOT SHA PRD or MDE Project Review experience is a plus.
Knowledge of MS Office, MicroStation, InRoads a plus.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling programs and techniques including TR-20, TR-55, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, ABSCOUR, HEC-18 and HY-8.
P.E. preferred.

Working Conditions for All Positions:

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sitting in nature but may require occasional standing, and walking. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
