Highway Engineer-Entry Level
Suyash Consulting, LLC (SUYASH) is actively seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to work in our Columbia, MD Office. At SuYash, our mission is to engineer innovative and practical solutions for cleaner environment and safer transportation infrastructure.
Responsibilities:

The Entry Level Highway Engineer will serve in a technical role under the direction of a project engineer and/or project manager for a wide array of planning and design services on transportation projects. Design work will include concept and final designs to support design of transportation facilities, including design of highways, pedestrian facilities, bicycle facilities, and transit improvements. Responsibilities will include development of geometric alignments, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
-
0 – 2 years of experience; Relevant internship experience preferred

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or the ability to obtain within a year

Proficiency in MS Office software
-
Knowledge of CADD software such as MicroStation preferred
-
GIS experience preferred
-
Strong technical and professional communication skills
-
Excellent time management skills
-
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
-
Participate in field work as needed

Working Conditions for All Positions:
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sitting in nature but may require occasional standing, and walking. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
